How To Fight a Good Fight

Fighting Gives You Free Access To Real Information That You Did Not Intend To Receive

It’s official. You are in a fight. It is with your mother, father, brother, sister, in-law, boyfriend, girlfriend, neighbor, dog, cat, lover, teacher, husband, wife.  Fighting is never fun and we usually do not have it on our “To Do List”. However, fighting can give you a better perspective about yourself without intending on it.  Many times when we fight it is usually over a control issue; it’s not about what they want, it’s about what you want. Simple math.

During the fight there are things you want that you can’t get, right? For example: He won’t marry me. He wants a commitment and I don’t.  She is probably still in love with her ex.  He’s holding back his feelings.  My daughter can’t get on the sports team. My son isn’t listening to me. My sister is selfish. My brother won’t loan me the money. My wife is spending all my money. My husband won’t work. She’s controlling. He’s lazy.  He doesn’t love me. The dog won’t “sit”. The cat won’t stop meowing. How do you resolve this? Maybe you don’t.

Often times, by the time I have a person call for a reading, they have been fighting with their situation for several months and many times several years.  And yes, there could be communication issues going on that make it so that the fighting does not stop.  And yes, it could be that you are right and they are wrong. But does that really matter? You still are not getting what you want.  Coping with the truth behind the “fight” could be what we are really avoiding. In other words maybe you are fighting the truth.  Let’s take the same statements made earlier and say it a different way.

1. He won’t marry me. “That’s because he doesn’t want to marry you”

2. She doesn’t love me. “That’s because she doesn’t love you.”

3. He wants a commitment and I don’t. “That’s because you simply don’t want to commit”

4. She is probably still in love with her ex. “That’s because she is still in love with her ex”

5. He’s holding back his feelings. “That’s because he holds back his feelings”

6. My daughter can’t get on the sports team. “That’s because she can’t get on the sports team”

7. My son isn’t listening to me. “That’s because your son doesn’t listen”

8. My sister is selfish. “That’s because your sister is selfish”

9. My brother won’t loan me the money. “That’s because he doesn’t want to loan you the money”

10. My wife spends all of my money. “That’s because your wife spends all of your money”

11. My husband won’t work. “That’s because your husband won’t work”

12. She’s controlling. “That’s because she is controlling”

13. He’s lazy. “That’s because he is lazy”

14. He doesn’t love me. “That’s because he doesn’t love you”

15. The dog won’t sit. “That’s because you didn’t train the dog to sit”

16. The cat won’t stop meowing. “That’s because you won’t let the cat out”

Okay scratch the last two examples.  The point is, is that we are not dogs and cats. We are people that usually know what we want and know what we are doing.  We know that we don’t want to do something. We know we didn’t return that call, or we know we don’t really love that person.  We know that we are lazy or can be selfish.  Often times we know who we are and what we are doing.  When we fight we are usually in some kind of denial about the truth about ourselves or about another person.

It is important when fighting or even after the fight to possibly look at why the fight keeps recurring. Are you unwilling to look at what is just simply there?

Many times the ACTIONS of the person really give it all away as the truth.  It is the WORDS that are untruly spoken to us that mess with our minds.  You know the old saying: “Actions speak louder than words”.  Just because the person you are fighting with is in denial of their true position, doesn’t mean you have to be in denial too.

Step out of the fighting and discover the true information you are actually searching for in the fight.  By the time you come into acceptance of the true circumstance, it can help you understand why and then move forward to a resolution. Maybe the resolution is simply a new understanding within yourself.

Let’s see what the Angels have to say about fighting:

{Channeled Information from the Angels}

Fighting does not show you how to resolve things. It is only the beginning to understanding the circumstances you are in. When we fight, we are seeking truth.  For truth is not what we see but is simply what exists. The ignorance of truth is what binds us to a problem, hides the solution and passes the time away into regret and misunderstandings.  Truthful actions are not always a person’s best asset.  Truthful actions with honest words is a trait worth seeking in others.  Speaking in truth and proper display of actions in total concert with each other is something we all need to strive for. For people are complex. There are past relationships and purposes to circumstances that can be outside of your control. We cannot control other beings like animals in cages.  We must accept that changes occur outside of your will and people cannot always control their emotions.  Life is not fair but karmically balanced.  Sometimes the truth is something that we can cherish and it can help us learn a trait about ourselves that we didn’t know was there: WISDOM.

Much of your soul’s path is toward wisdom.  Much of the time the truth can be painful, but it can also become a path to happiness.

{End Channelling}

Look below at some possible ideas that can lead to wisdom: These are only my own ideas; it’s not perfect:

1. He won’t marry me. “That’s because he doesn’t want to marry you” – There is another who will, go find him.

2. She doesn’t love me. “That’s because she doesn’t love you.” – There is another who will, go find her.

3. He wants a commitment and I don’t. “That’s because you simply don’t want to commit” – Enjoy your freedom.

4. She is probably still in love with her ex. “That’s because she is still in love with her ex” – Honor and bless it.

5. He’s holding back his feelings. “That’s because he holds back his feelings” – Allow him to find his way and practice good listening skills while he practices how to articulate his feelings (fingers crossed on that one!)

6. My daughter can’t get on the sports team. “That’s because she can’t get on the sports team” – Her talents lie elsewhere, help her look for it.

7. My son isn’t listening to me. “That’s because your son doesn’t listen” – Teach him how to listen, by listening to him. (at least until he’s 18, after that, I’m not sure…)

8. My sister is selfish. “That’s because your sister is selfish” – Appreciate that you are a giving person and demonstrate that gift! (only if you really feel like it, otherwise, she’s a selfish person, don’t look for something that isn’t there)

9. My brother won’t loan me the money. “That’s because he doesn’t want to loan you the money” – Discover other resources for financial support, there are always other options. (perhaps you need to learn how to manage and save your money)

10. My wife spends all of my money. “That’s because your wife spends all of your money”- Sit down together and figure out how you both can spend it more wisely.(or create a separate back-up bank account for emergencies).

11. My husband won’t work. “That’s because your husband won’t work” – Sorry, can’t help you there! (maybe find another more responsible companion).

12. She’s controlling. “That’s because she is controlling” – She probably just needs more of your loving attention, give it to her! (or find someone that loves you simply as you are).

13. He’s lazy. “That’s because he is lazy” – Perhaps he is lacking in confidence, give encouragement, in the meantime allow him to discover the consequences of such behaviour. (with lazy people we can usually thank their mother’s for that one.  They spoiled their child and created a lazy person; find someone else! sorry…)

14. He doesn’t love me. “That’s because he doesn’t love you”- :Take on a new adventure and find romance and passion again. There are plenty of men looking for it, they call me asking where they can find love too!

15. The dog won’t sit. “That’s because you didn’t train the dog to sit” – Teach and love your dog how to behave lovingly.

16. The cat won’t stop meowing. “That’s because you won’t let the cat out” – Play and participate in loving activities with your cat! Most cats enjoy fresh air and at least some outside time.

Too much energy put into fighting can destroy your mind and your luster for live. Allow the fighting to show you a passageway to better understanding and more importantly better action to get to a happier daily existence for yourself.  Good Luck. I know I need it!
